A night and day difference…during the day AND at night…
Ceramic films have a special composition to filter UV and IR coming through the glass, allowing for heat to be reduced effectively, no matter what shade the film is. Because of this, a lighter, 70% film is able to stop a tremendous amount of heat while still staying relatively transparent. This makes for the perfect choice for special applications where a dark film would not be suitable, such as a windshield or sun/moon roofs. 70% and your windshield:
Your windshield, most of the time, is the largest single pane of glass on your vehicle, allowing for a ton of heat to enter, quickly making it uncomfortable or you, and anyone else sitting in there. This is where 70% becomes most useful...
Heat rejection:
One of the biggest benefits of tinting your windshield with XR70 is that it stops about 50% of actual heat coming through the glass during the day, without sacrificing your visibility at night. Under our Florida sun, rejecting HALF of the heat at the glass makes a big difference in comfort, protection, and efficiency for you, and your vehicle!
Clarity:
Visibility issues? Difficulty seeing at night? Does oncoming traffic and excessive ambient lighting affect your sight while driving? Do you suffer from astigmatism, preventing you from seeing lights clearly, or with minimal glare effect?

Moonroofs and Sunroofs:
If your vehicle is equipped with a sunroof or a moonroof, chances are, when the cover is open and the sun is shining in, it’s HOT! Another area 70% useful is on these panes overhead. Putting 70% on the glass above cuts back the intense heat coming through the glass, roasting the top of your head. Tinting the roof glass also helps cut back a bunch of the radiating heat your car builds up when sitting in a parking lot. Even though the cover may be closed through the day, any heat getting THROUGH the glass is staying in the vehicle, seeping through the headliner and panels. Cutting that heat AT the glass will reduce the overall radiating heat, making it more comfortable upon getting into your vehicle.
Privacy glass:
Does your new truck or SUV have darker privacy glass on the rear half from the factory? If you’re looking for the benefits but do not want to alter the appearance of the glass or darken it anymore than it already is from the factory, 70% on that glass is perfect! Providing the benefits you’d expect out of the film, such as heat rejection and the clarity all around, but retaining full visibility out of the glass, unobstructed by darker film. We ALWAYS recommend tinting over the privacy glass, providing full protection and clarity all around the vehicle.
